Why choose OLH · Photographer in Quebec

Why clients trust OLH Photographie

Photographer — Quebec, Canada

Choosing me is more than booking a photographer. It is a clear, structured, human experience from the first message to the final delivery — so on the day, you can focus on your event instead of mine.

What you can count on

Six things that show up on every job.

No two assignments look the same — but the client experience behind them stays consistent. These are the constants behind every assignment I take on.

  • Behind the lens since 2010

Professional photography since 2010, with roots in photo editing going back to 2001. That depth shows in every frame.

  • Trained on live action

Years of volleyball and live events built an instinct for decisive moments, the kind that cannot be staged or repeated.

  • Gallery-ready consistency

Clean composition, balanced tones, and a cohesive look across every image in every gallery delivered.

  • End-to-end attention

Selection, editing, and delivery receive the same care as the shoot itself. Nothing is rushed at the finish line.

  • Steady under pressure

Tight schedules, fast-moving events, demanding clients. The work stays controlled and the results stay sharp.

  • Clear communication

Transparent process, realistic timelines, and no surprises from first inquiry to final delivery.

How it works

From the first question to the final delivery.

Every assignment follows the same discipline — a clear, predictable, human path so you can focus on your event, not on the photography.

  1. First conversation

You share the context, the date, and what matters most. I confirm whether the assignment is the right fit and the date is open — honestly, in a single reply.

  2. Plan and agreement

We agree on format, what you will receive, timing, and terms. Everything is written down before the shoot, so nothing important gets negotiated after.

  3. Before the day

I stay available for your questions. Reminders, arrival timing, and practical updates land when they are actually useful — never as noise.

  4. On the day

Calm, attentive, and discreet on site. I cover the moments that matter — and the small ones too — without breaking the rhythm of your event.

  5. Curation and retouching

I copy the photos, do a first sort, then move on to careful selection and retouching — through a step-by-step process I've built over the years. I keep you posted on where the gallery stands and when to expect it.

  6. Delivery and follow-up

Delivered on the promised date, with simple and durable access. And I stay available for your questions long after the gallery is in your hands.

Quality first, quantity second, speed third — always within timeframes you know in advance.

Reliability you can plan on

Twenty-five years of finish work, delivered without drama.

A photography practice trusted day after day runs on more than instinct. The order of priorities stays the same on every assignment: quality first, quantity second, speed third — never trading the final result just to save time. Here is what holds the practice together behind the scenes.

  • Color science, not filters

Calibrated color from the moment the photo is taken right through to delivery — ready-made filters are a starting point, not a finish. Skin tones stay true and the gallery tone stays consistent across every photo.

  • Backups before they are needed

Every photo is recorded to two memory cards at the same time. Backup copies are made on site before the night ends, and everything is archived safely off-site. The hard-drive failure that loses a wedding does not happen here.

  • Clear dates for every step

The dates for photo selection, retouching, and final delivery are set before the shoot — not negotiated after. You know what to expect, and when.

  • Calm under pressure

Tight schedules, fast-moving events, gear hiccups — sorted out without panic and without breaking the rhythm. My attention stays on the room, not on the gear.

  • Custom tools that serve your project

Photographer and software developer, I build my own tools to speed up selection and retouching, keep the visual look consistent, and hit delivery promises even when the photo count is high. You see the result on time, not the code behind it.
